It is essential you are adequately covered
to take part in an overseas challenge event.
You may prefer to do your own research into
the various options available, but we are happy
to recommend Preferential who can arrange suitable
cover for your trip at very competitive rates.

The premium will be around £45, or you
may prefer to take out an annual policy (premiums
start at £90) if you are a regular traveller.
It is essential with any travel insurance
you take out that you explain fully to the insurance
companies what type of trip you are undertaking
e.g. biking, a trek at altitude etc, which includes
air evacuation and repatriation. You are also
required to disclose any pre-existing medical
condition.
If your challenge is at high altitude, please
note you will need to telephone Preferential
to ensure you have high altitude cover. (Preferential’s
on-line insurance only covers you up to 2000m).
If you are planning to extend your stay, please
ensure that you are covered for the full period.
This will probably involve a small additional
premium.
