Ultimate Challenges supports James' new world record attempt!
05/07/2010
Last year James Bowthorpe broke the existing record for circumnavigation of the globe by bicycle by 20 days. He has since been awarded “Fundraiser of the Year” by South London Press and has been hailed by Lance Armstrong as a “Noble man”.
After raising £125,000 for 'What's Driving Parkinson's' last year, James has taken on his next challenge, JOGLE 2010
So, if you've ever wanted to cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End, why not join James Bowthorpe (round the world record holder!) and 99 other cyclists between the 4th and 13th of September on a 1000 mile classic ride from “End to End” - JOGLE 2010. This will be the largest peloton of cyclists to ever ride the route and, even more exciting for some, is that all the food for the ride will be locally sourced and produced where possible. The ride will be a real challenge with an average of 120 miles per day and the organisers are asking for a minimum of £1000 sponsorship plus £75 registration fee per rider.
JOGLE 2010 is a fundraiser for “What’s Driving Parkinson’s?”, a Parkinson’s Disease research project administered by The Psychiatry Research Trust, charity no. 284286. For more information and to register, please email info@jogle2010.org
