Creating a climate for change

As part of a wider independent review of UTC's social responsibilities, we are adopting a number of targets and measures to minimise the environmental impact of our business.

By way of offsetting some of the climate impacts associated with our challenges we are teaming up with Salt of the Earth, a UK charity, and Social Change and Development in India to offer our clients the opportunity to contribute to a great climate project in Tamil Nadu.

We have also established an ethical code for suppliers to help ensure that all of our suppliers, like us, operate on the basis that their actions support the elimination of social injustice and seek to ensure the respect for people's human rights and the environment.

This is just the beginning and we are delighted by the progress we have so far made and will keep you updated about our social and environmental programme as it develops.
