Argentina boasts some of the world's tallest mountains including Aconcagua. At 6959m, Aconcagua meaning 'stone watchtower' is the highest mountain in the western hemisphere and the highest outside Asia. It is one of the seven continental summits and lies entirely within Argentina, close to the Chilean border.
Our expedition attempts the North route, a non-technical ascent yet still an impressive challenge considering the altitude and the prevailing weather conditions. To ensure that we attend the best possible acclimatisation, we will spend a number of days slowly gaining altitude on the mountain before the final summit bid.
Grade: Very tough
We are not currently running an Aconcagua trek. If you're interested in this challenge for your charity, organisation or group please contact us on 020 7386 4680 or email events@theultimatetravelcompany.co.uk for more details.
