Charity Factsheet:
Parkinson's Disease Society
We are the leading authority in the UK on Parkinson’s and a world leader in research.
We have spent over £40million (£459 every hour) on research that is making a real difference. We have funded pioneering research that has discovered new genes, improved diagnosis and better drug treatments. Our breakthroughs have transformed the treatment and care of people loving with Parkinson’s around the world.
The Parkinson's Disease Society is transforming lives, every day. In addition to funding research into prevention, treatment, and cure; We offer one-to-one support through our network of branches and support groups; give information and advice via our website or helpline; and provide dedicated teams of staff and volunteers across the UK. Everything we do makes a difference to someone with Parkinson’s.
None of this would be possible without people like you. The Parkinson's Disease Society is totally dependant on voluntary support.
Roy - Parkinson's Disease Society Trekker
“I met some interesting people on the trek and I am very glad I did it. There were times when it was hard going, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and a journey not to be missed.”
