Trek Northern Peru - The Hidden Treasure of the Andes - Cordillera Blanca Trek
Peru's Cordillera Blanca is located northeast of Lima. The Cordillera Blanca is part of the Andes - the longest mountain range on earth stretching 5,000 miles from Patagonia to the shores of the Caribbean.
The Cordillera Blanca is, without question, one of the most magnificent mountain ranges in the world. Protected as the Huascaran National Park, the Cordillera is one of the earth's treasured natural resources and the highest mountain chain in the Peruvian Andes. Hundreds of multicoloured glacial lakes and dozens of crystal clear rivers and waterfalls make it one of the most attractive mountain destinations on earth. Over 20 snow-capped peaks rise above 6,000m. Its highest peak, Huascaran (6,768m) is also the world's highest mountain in a tropical zone.
This stunning trekking challenge includes spectacular peaks, alpine valleys, scattered quenual forests and we also pass small traditional communities and admire the ecologically diverse flora and fauna. There is also an opportunity to summit a 5280m peak, Cerro Berlin and take in the magnificent mountain views.
A different, and truly spectacular Peruvian Challenge!
